Depression!

Depression!

Shallow thoughts questioned his existence!
Those dark demons asked for his life's purpose.
"You worthless idler," said his own self!

He answered, tried n justified!
Defended, failed, and gave up!
"Maybe I'm nothing", he admitted
Fruits are not sweeter anymore!
Fame n money not pleasing anymore!

Dark thoughts overpowered!
He let them outgrow!
He let them swallow his self!
He let himself slaughtered to death!

Surprised were the people,
"He never shared" they complained!
He, with full of life! How can he?
He, Laughing loud in the crowd.
Empathizing happiness in and out.

Cheerful mindful when around,
Shattered, hallow, dark in lone!

but THINGS were not surprised!
His pillow knew it was coming,
As it read his thoughts all night!
The ceiling fan
As it dried all those tears!
They all mourned n whispered
"He would still be around if we were alive!"

PS - I don’t know how depression looks like or how deeper it could go. Fortunately, I haven’t reached a saturation point where nothing could excite one! But there is always this dark thought of nothingness that pushes me to the void!

I’m sure the one reading this is housing a similar thought too!

When you get those thoughts, be stupid and try to play with it. Cry out loud if that suffices or talk to people if that makes sense.

When you logically break it down it’s all the flow of those silly chemicals that makes you feel sad, happy, or even that fancy term ‘smiling depressed!’ It’s all good as long as you are breathing!!

  2. SSRI represents specific serotonin reuptake inhibitor. These drugs work by keeping the synapse serotonin from being reabsorbed by the nerve cell that delivered it, accordingly compelling the serotonin to keep effectively working.Therapist Wayne PA 19087
